VA Tech Wabag has bagged a ₹141-crore order to set up a wastewater treatment plant in Nepal. The Chennai-based multinational company in water and wastewater treatment has bagged the Asian Development Bank funded order to set up the 32-million litre a day wastewater treatment plant in Guheshwori, Nepal, according to a press release from the company. It also includes operation and maintenance of the facility for a 10-year period. The scope of work includes rehabilitation and expansion of an existing 16 million litre a day wastewater treatment plant to double its capacity. The plant will also produce biogas from sludge.
