    JP Morgan, Baron buy equity in MCX

    Synopsis

    ​US based Baron Emerging Markets Fund purchased 1.47% and JP Morgan India Investment Company bought 1.1% for an undisclosed sum during the June quarter. Other FPIs include Blackstone (4.79%), Smallcap World Fund (2.45%) and Goldman Sachs (1.06%).

    MUMBAI: Two FPIs have purchased stake in the country's largest and only listed commodity futures exchange MCX during the June quarter, raising foreign shareholding in the bourse by 2.5% over the preceding quarter to 17.81%.

    US based Baron Emerging Markets Fund purchased 1.47% and JP Morgan India Investment Company bought 1.1% for an undisclosed sum during the June quarter. Other FPIs include Blackstone (4.79%), Smallcap World Fund (2.45%) and Goldman Sachs (1.06%).
