The joint venture between India’s Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Japan’s Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems ltd, L&T-MHPS Boilers Private Limited (LMB), has secured export orders worth around Rs 300 crore from the Japanese thermal power generation company.

The order placed by Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS), itself a joint venture formed in 2014 by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi, to Indo-Japanese LMB consists of pressure parts to 2x1000 MW and 1x650 MW power plants in Indonesia and Japan, respectively.

The LMB is joint venture formed by L&T and MHPS in 2006 where Indian company holds 51 per cent equity and Japanese company holds 49 per cent. LMB is currently executing eight export orders for the supply of pulverisers and pressure parts to various MHPS projects in Japan and Indonesia, the company’s press statement said. So far LMB has executed 11 export orders for supply of pressure parts, pulverisers and engineering services to West Asia, Africa and South East Asia.

At about 3.10 pm, the stock was up 0.24 per cent at Rs 1,726 on the BSE.
