State-run Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd (GACL) has registered net profit of ₹95.36 crore for the first quarter of the financial year 2017-18, up by 10.55 per cent from ₹86.26 crore reported in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
The company’s net sales for the quarter under review stood at ₹532.27 crore, up 3.28 per cent from ₹515.38 crore in the same quarter last year. GACL posted earnings per share of ₹51.96 per share for the first quarter. The company’s scrip closed 0.19 per cent lower at ₹400.30 on the NSE on Friday.
