Hindustan Unilever Ltd has posted a 16 per cent rise in quarterly profit on Wednesday, beating estimates.
Net profit rose to Rs 1,276 crore ($195.98 million) in the quarter ended September 30, compared with Rs 1,096 crore a year earlier, the diversified consumer goods maker said.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated a profit of Rs 1,185 crore on average.
Shares of the company ended up by 0.18 per cent at Rs 1,273.55 on the BSE.
