OnMobile appoints Rajiv Pancholy as chief executive
Pancholy's appointment comes weeks after co-founder and CEO Mouli Raman resigned
Bangalore: Bangalore-based mobile value-added services firm OnMobile Global Ltd has named Rajiv Pancholy as its new chief executive, weeks after co-founder and CEO Mouli Raman resigned.
Pancholy joins OnMobile after founding his own company, TTP Media, where he also served as president. Prior to that, he served as president and chief operating officer of Canadian wireless operator Microcell Connexions Inc.
Over the past decade, OnMobile, which at one point was one of India’s most successful mobile value-added services companies, has come under scrutiny from regulators over its corporate governance practices.
Two years ago, one of its founders Arvind Rao resigned from the company after a review of its corporate governance practices identified certain “weaknesses" in the procedure.
OnMobile was incubated at Infosys before being spun off as a separate company.
