Shri Rakesh Sethi

Current Position: - Chairman and Managing Director

Shri Rakesh Sethi is the Chairman and Managing Director of Allahabad Bank. He  also serves as a National Banking Group General Manager at Bank of India.  He has a rich and varied experience of over 34 years in Banking Sector.  

Shri Sethi started his banking career from Andhra Bank as an Officer. Prior to this elevation at Allahabad Bank , Sethi was an executive director at Punjab National Bank. He has now assumed charge at the helm of Allahabad Bank.

Mr. Sethi has been the Chairman of the Board of JSC Subsidiary Bank Punjab National Bank Kazakhstan. He has been an Executive Director of Union Bank of India. He was a Nominee Director of India Factoring and Finance Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and has also  been a Director at Andhra Bank.

Experience & Specialization: 

Born on April 30, 1957, Shri Sethi is a Gold Medalist in Commerce from Osmania University, Hyderabad and had undergone Management Programme at the prestigious Kellogg’s School of Management, USA and Advances Programme at Seoul. He also attended many global programmes at UK, Scotland and USA.
