Mr. Shekharkumar Ramkrishnaji Bajaj, also known as Shekhar has been the Joint Managing Director of Bajaj Electricals Limited since April 1, 2012. Mr. Bajaj served as the Chief Executive of Bajaj Electricals Limited since 1980. He served as the Managing Director at Bajaj Electricals Limited since November 1, 1984. He started career as Resident Director of Bajaj Sevashram Ltd in Udaipur in 1968. He served as Joint Managing Director of Bachhraj Factories Ltd. from 1969 to 1972 and its Chief Executive since 1974. Since 1975, he served as part-time Managing Director of Bajaj International Pvt Ltd and later served as its whole-time Managing Director. He has over 25 years of varied and rich work experience in a wide range of functions with emphasis on Marketing and Sales. He has been Chairman of Bajaj Electricals Ltd. since 1994. He serves as the Chairman of Hercules Hoists Limited, Bajaj Ventures Ltd., Hind Musafir Agency Ltd. and Hind Lamps Ltd. He serves as a Director of Conquest Investment & Finance Ltd. and Primus Investments & Finance Ltd. He has been Non-Executive Director of Hercules Hoists Limited since February 12, 1989. He serves as a Director of Shekhar Holdings Pvt. Ltd. and Bajaj Electricals Ltd. He has been a Non-Executive Director of Bajaj Auto Ltd., since 1995. He served as a Director of Fusion Investments & Financial Services Ltd., until December 08, 2006 and Catalyst Finance Ltd. until December 2006. He served as the Non-executive Director of Bajaj Finance Limited. He served as a Non-Executive Director of Bajaj Holdings & Investment Limited until February 20, 2008. He served as a Director of IDBI Bank Ltd. He serves as President of Electric Lamp & Component Manufacturers' Association of India. He served as the President of the Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India, Indian Merchants' Chamber, Council for Fair Business Practices and Chairman of Indian Fan Manufacturers Association etc. Mr. Bajaj holds a Bachelor of Science from Pune University and MBA from New York University, USA.
