Mr. Rajendra Prasad,
 

Prior to joining SRF as CFO in March 2006, Rajendra Prasad worked with American Express for 17 years summing up his tenure as the Lead Controller for the entities in India and adjoining countries. Earlier, he also had a brief stint in the civil services of the Government of India, the hospitality and the manufacturing sectors. 

With over 29 years of diverse experience Rajendra Prasad at SRF is currently responsible for designing, defining and implementing policies and process improvements in Finance. He has also been spearheading a task of putting into place a company wide risk control mechanism.


Rajendra Prasad is a Chartered Accountant by qualification. Additionally, he is a trainer for in-company programmes, a Six Sigma Black Belt resource and a qualified Information Systems Auditor (ISA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a qualified CISA, from Information Systems Audit and Control Association - USA.

Rajendra Prasad had the honour of serving as a member on the Reserve Bank of India's Committee on Introducing Accounting Standards in the banking sector. He was till recently a member of the Special Task Force on Accounting Standards for Carbon Credits set up by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Presently he is on the Research Committee of the Institute.

While working with American Express he was credited with the development of a number of proprietary software programmes towards in-house process improvement. He also holds copyrights on two software programmes developed by him.

He has been honoured with the Alumnae Society Award of the University of Lucknow in the year 2004.
