Mr. Rajendra Kumar Somany, B.Com., FI(Ceramics) (U.K.), LFAIMA, FCMI (UK),Member - IoM3 (U.K.), has been the Managing Director and Executive & Non-Independent Chairman of HSIL Limited. since January 09, 2006. Mr. Somany has been an Executive & Non-Independent Director of HSIL Limited since January 9, 1988. He serves as a Director of Ceramic Services ltd; Soma Investment ltd, Paco Exports ltd and Hsil associates ltd. He is a Co-promoter of Hindustan Sanitaryware & Industries Ltd.

He served as the President of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) and Employers' Federation of India. He served as the Chairman of Council of Indian Employers. He is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Management U K. He has served as a Member Emeritus of the American Ceramic Society. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials,Minerals and Mining U.K. He is a Life Fellow of the All India Management Association. He is a Commerce graduate of St. xavier's college, Calcutta university.
