Mr. Ratan N Tata

Chairman Emeritus

Mr. Ratan N. Tata serves as the Chief Advisor of AirAsia India at AirAsia Berhad. Mr. Tata is a Special Advisor at Jungle Ventures. In this role, he works with its portfolio of companies to help them build category leadership, while being ethically impregnable and culturally strong in Asian and global markets. He serves as the President of the Court of the Indian Institute of Science. He has been Special Advisor to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Mondelez International, Inc. since May 20, 2015.

Mr. Tata is the Promoter of Tata Steel Limited. He joined the Tata Group in 1962 and served as the Chairman at Tata Industries Ltd. from 1981 to since December 28, 2012. He was responsible for transforming Tata Motors Ltd. into a Group strategy think-tank and a promoter of new ventures in high technology businesses. He is expertise in specific functional area are eminent industrialist with wide business experience across a variety of industries.

He has been the Chairman Emeritus at Tata Sons Limited, Tata Steel Limited, Tata Chemicals Limited and Tata Motors Limited since December 28, 2012. He also serves as the Chairman Emeritus for Nelco Ltd. He served as the Chairman of the Board at Tata Group since December 28, 2012. He served as Chairman of Tata Steel Group until December 28, 2012.

He served as the Chairman of Tata Steel Limited from April 1993 to December 28, 2012. He served as the Chairman of Tata Chemicals Ltd., until December 28, 2012. Mr. Tata served as the Chairman of Tata Tea Ltd. He served as the Group Chairman of Tata Technologies Limited. He served as the Chairman of Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. until December 28, 2012. He served as Chairman at Tata Motors Ltd. from 2001 to December 28, 2012.

He served as the Chairman of Tata Sons Ltd. and TATA Teleservices Ltd. from 1991 to December 28, 2012. He served as the Chairman of Jaguar Land Rover Automotive plc. (formerly, Jaguar Land Rover PLC) from 2008 to December 28, 2012. He served as the Chairman and Director of Indian Hotels Co. Ltd. from January 9, 1984 to December 28, 2012. He also held the Chairmanship of several major Tata companies including Antrix Corp. Ltd., Information Technology Park Ltd., and Tata Engineering.

He served as Chairman of Tata Communications Limited (alternate name Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd) from February 2002 to April 11, 2005. He served as the Chairman at The Tata Power Company Limited until November 8, 2012. He served as the Chairman of Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd. from August 10, 2006 to March 2009. He served as Chairman of Corus Group Limited and Tata Autocomp Systems Ltd. He served as the Chairman of Tata Global Beverages Limited until November 20, 2012.
