Mr. Sumit Mazumdar

Mr. Sumit Mazumder has been the Chairman of the Board and Managing Director since June 1, 2014. Mr. Mazumder has been a Vice President of Confederation of Indian Industry since 2013. He serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of TIPL (Tractors India Pvt. Ltd.). Previously, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of TIL Limited. He served as a Vice Chairman of TIL Limited from June 1, 2009 to June 1, 2014. He serves as a Trustee of Kolkata Port Trust (KoPT). He serves as a Member of the Board of West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC). He has been a Member of the various Committees and Councils of the CII National Council. A graduate of St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta, he obtained a Master’s in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University, Texas, USA. Mr. Mazumder also undertook the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University, Massachusetts, USA.
