Mr. Nrupender  Rao

Chairman

Mr. Nrupender Rao is the founder and Chairman of Pennar Industries Limited, Hyderabad. He has an illustrious career spanning over four decades in various organizations such as National Cash Register (USA), Union Carbide India, Nagarjuna Steels Limited and Pennar Group.

He had co-promoted ITW Signode ( earlier Nagarjuna Signode) in 1980 along with Nagarjuna Steels Limited and Signode Corporation of USA.

Mr Rao is a distinguished alumnus of IIT, Kharagpur and was awarded the IIT Kharagpur Alumnus award for the year 2011 by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. He has also done his Masters in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering from Purdue University (USA).
 

He has received several prestigious awards and some of them include Dr. Nayudamma Gold Medal for his contribution to the Industrial Development in the state of Andhra Pradesh,"Entrepreneur of the year" award by the Hyderabad Management Association, "Outstanding Entrepreneur Award" by the Council of State Industrial Development and Investment Corporations of India.
 

Mr Rao was the National President of the Indo American Chamber of Commerce and President of the Hyderabad Management Association.

As a part of his services to the society, he is the Managing Trustee of Sri. Ramakrishna Vivekananda Service Foundation and Sri J.V. Narsing Rao Memorial Foundation.

Mr. Joginapally Venkata Nrupender Rao, B.Tech., M.S. served as the Managing Director of Pennar Industries Ltd., from July 21, 2008 to May, 2010. Shri Rao has significant experience as Industrialist and overall business management.

He has been Executive Chairman of Pennar Industries Ltd., since January 30, 2009. He has been the Chairman of Saven Technologies Limited. since December 22, 2010. He serves as an Executive Chairman of Pennar Aluminium Co. Ltd., Pennear Enigeneered Buildings System Limited and Pennar Chemicals, Ltd.

Shri Rao served as Executive Chairman of Pennar Industries Ltd., until April 30, 2007 and Pennar Aluminium Co. Ltd., until October 05, 2012. He served as an Executive Vice-Chairman of Pennar Industries Ltd. since April 30, 2007. He has been an Executive Director of Pennar Industries Ltd. since September 23, 1995.

He serves as a Director of O&S Ratna Aluminium Fabricators Pvt Ltd., EValue Consulting Limited; Thapati Trading Pvt Ltd., Pennar Engineered Building Systems Limited, Pennar Chemical Limited, Pennar Logistics Limited, Pennar Building Systems, Private Limited, Pennar Management Services Limited, and Palguna Consulting Pvt Ltd.

He has been a Director for Pennar Aluminium Co. Ltd. since September 1989. He served as a Director of Alumeco India Extrusion Ltd. until April 24, 2006. He holds a B.Tech from IIT, Kharagpur and M.S. degree in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, USA.
