Mr. Shishir Joshipura

Shishir joined SKF in 2009 as Managing Director of SKF India Ltd to lead SKF’s drive towards consolidating its position as the leading manufacturer of bearing, seals, lubrication systems, mechatronics and services. In addition to this assignment, he is also Country Manager for the group which includes the group’s business of SKF Technologies Pvt. Ltd and Lincoln Helios India Pvt Ltd

Shishir began his illustrious career of 26 years at Thermax as a trainee engineer serving in different capacities while overseeing progress of prestigious projects.In 1999 he was appointed as CEO of Thermax Energy Performance Services a joint venture ESCO with EPS of USA.  As the Executive Vice President and Global Head of Business Cooling and Heating at Thermax he gained experience in the field of Energy generation, distribution and usage. He set up a manufacturing subsidiary from grass roots in China and was Director in charge of overseas subsidiaries of Thermax in USA, Europe, South America and China.

Shishir is recognized for his deep domain expertise in the fields of Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy and Carbon Intensity Reduction.  Shishir has served as the director of Process Plant and Machinery Association of India (PPMAI) from 2005 to 2007 and later as the chairman of PPMAI from 2007 to 2009. Since 2009, he is the Director Alliance for Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE) and is also on the Board of Thermax Sustainable Energy Services Limited and SBI Funds Management Pvt. Ltd.

Shishir holds Mechanical Engineering degree from BITS, Pilani and is graduate of Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School . Shishir enjoys spending his leisure time with his wife and daughter; he is an ardent reader and a keen cricket enthusiast.
