Chief Financial Officer

S. Balasubramaniam and Zensar: With over 28 years of experience in finance and commercial functions, S. Balasubramaniam is the Chief Financial Officer of Zensar. He joined Zensar in October 2005 and, since then, has been an integral part of the core team.

He has significant experience in handling the challenges of the financial management and operating efficiencies in a demanding environment, and specializes in areas such as working capital, cash management, capacity expansion, and strategy execution.

A Commerce graduate from St. Xavier's College, Calcutta (1978), he is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is also a member of the IMA CFO forum, and an Associate member of Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India ,specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions, as well as Transfer Pricing and International Taxation.

Balasubramaniam is an active contributor to key industry forums – he is a Co-convener at the CII Finance Panel, Pune, and a Member of the National Accounting Standards Council, CII.

Balasubramaniam started his career in Dunlop India Limited, and followed it up with successful stints in senior positions across diverse industries - Polyester, Plantations and Pharmaceuticals. He has worked with companies such as Indian Poly Fibres (RPG), Harrisons Malayalam Ltd (RPG), and RPG Life Sciences.

When he is not number-crunching, Balasubramaniam loves meeting people and enjoys speaking at industry forums. His interest areas include technology, economics, Hindustani classical music and reading.

Balasubramaniam is married to Alika and has a daughter Aditi. He is based in India and works at the Zensar’s headquarters in Pune.
