Mr.M. R. Ramasamy is Chief Operating Officer since July 1, 2015. Before July 2015, Ramasamy was managing the international businesses of the company in the capacity of President – International Business.

In earlier portfolios he has led several verticals within the firm, holding positions of Manufacturing & Technology (Global), Chief Technology Officer, Director – Corporate Affairs, and Sr. Vice President – Operations and Supply Chain. Ramasamy has been with Essel for over 20 years.

He carries an Engineering degree in Chemicals & Plastics and an executive MBA from Lansbridge University, Canada. He is also a regular faculty for manufacturing excellence and Six Sigma implementation methodologies at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. The Essel team refers to him as Ram.

Mr. M. R. Ramasamy, B.E., P.G.D. P. & E. (C.I.P.E.T.) has been Chief Operating Officer of Essel Propack Limited since August 22, 2015 and served as its President of International Business until August 22, 2015. Mr. Ramasamy served as the President at AMESA & EAP Essel Propack Ltd.

Mr. Ramasamy serves as Director Technology & Supply Chain of Essel Propack Limited. Mr. Ramasamy served as Director of Technology & New Projects at Essel Propack Ltd. Mr. Ramasamy served as Director of Manufacturing and Technology. Mr. Ramasamy was responsible for major technological change initiatives and includes internal outsourcing of common services, unification of manufacturing sites for certain products so as to bring about cost competitiveness.

Prior to this, Mr. Ramasamy has held various positions across divisions within the firm including those of Director of Manufacturing & Technology (Global), Chief Technology Officer, Director - Corporate Affairs, and Senior Vice President - Operations and Supply Chain.

Mr. Ramasamy has been with Essel Propack for over 20 years and has an engineering degree in Chemical and Plastics, and an Executive MBA from Lansbridge University, Canada. In addition to this, he is also a regular faculty for manufacturing excellence and Six Sigma implementation methodologies at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.
