Mr. Saugata Gupta has been the Chief Executive Officer of Marico Limited since April 2013 and also has been its Managing Director since March 31, 2014. Mr. Gupta served as the Chief Executive Officer of Consumer Products at Marico Limited. He served as Chief of Marketing of Marico Ltd. He joined Marico Limited in January 2004 as head of Marketing and served as Chief Executive Officer of India business since 2007.

He served as the Chief of Marketing and Group Sales at ICICI Prudential and was part of the start up team that was instrumental in establishing ICICI Pru as the largest private sector Insurance firm in the country. He started his career with Cadbury's where he spent 9 years in various roles in Sales and Marketing. His last role was Marketing Manager - Chocolates.

Mr. Gupta has 20 years of experience primarily in FMCG sector. He has been a Director of Marico Limited since April 1, 2014. He serves as Director at Marico Bangladesh Limited. Mr. Gupta has an engineering degree from IIT Kharagpur and a Management degree from IIM Bangalore.
