Mr. Nikhil Sawhney

Mr. Nikhil Sawhney has been Managing Director of Triveni Turbine Limited since May 10, 2011. Mr. Sawhney is a Co-Promoter of Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd. He served as Corporate Vice President of Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd., until May 1, 2011. 

He has worked in India and overseas in the fields of Finance, Consumer Goods, Engineering products and Capital Markets. He served as Marketing Analyst of Flexibox Ltd., Manchester, UK since 1996, as a Capital Markets and Sales Analyst of Nomura International, London, UK since 1997, Corporate Finance Analyst at ING Barings, London, UK since 1998 and as Marketing Associate for Nestle USA, Los Angeles, USA since 2003.

He has been associated with Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd since October 1, 1999. He has been Vice Chairman of Triveni Turbine Ltd. since November 6, 2013. He has been an Executive Director of Triveni Turbine Ltd., since May 10, 2011. Mr. Sawhney has been a Non-Executive Director at Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd. since May 10, 2011 and previously served as an Whole time Director from November 11, 2008 to May 10, 2011.

Mr. Sawhney has a Bachelors degree in Arts and a Masters degree in Arts from the Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge, UK and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Nikhil Sawhney is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Triveni Turbine Limited and a Director with Triveni Engineering and Industries Limited in Noida, India. Nikhil has worked in the field of investment banking and consumer goods in the UK and USA prior to joining Triveni Engineering in 1999. Nikhil has work in different positions within the company overseeing corporate functions like corporate affairs, communications and investor relations as well as the businesses of water and waste water treatment and turbines.

Nikhil has helped found the CII-Triveni Water Institute and is an active trustee of the Tirath Ram Shah Charitable Hospital and the Emmanuel College India Trust, as well as a Fellow of the Aspen Institute of India and the Aspen Global Leadership Network. He is also a part of the Managing Committee of ASSOCHAM and the Governing Council of AIMA.

Nikhil has been awarded the Udyog Ratna by the Institute of Economic Studies. Nikhil has a Bachelors degree in Arts and a Masters degree in Arts from Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge, and a Masters degree in Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
