Mr. S. Sandilya, B.Com., MBA serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Eicher Tractor Ltd. Mr. Sandilya served as Director of Manufacturing and Operations at Eicher Motors Ltd. He served as the Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Eicher Ltd., since April 1, 2000. Mr. Sandilya has been at Eicher group since 1975 in various capacities. Mr. Sandilya served as the Managing Director of Eicher Motors Limited.
He started with the tractor business at the Faridabad plant and moved to the Group Headquarters in 1977. In 1982 he took over as the General Manager of the Alwar Division. He was incharge of Group Finance, Strategic Planning, Audit & Information technology. Mr. Sandilya served as the Chief Executive of Eicher Group, Viz Eicher Motors Ltd., until May 1, 2006. He started his career in 1969 with DCM group of companies after a year’s stint with DCM and 5 years with Union Carbide. Mr. Sandilya was with Union Carbide India Limited. He has over 36 years of experience. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Eicher Group, the parent company of Eicher Goodearth Ltd. and Eicher Tractor Ltd. Mr. Sandilya serves as Non-Executive Chairman of Mastek Limited and has been its Independent Non-Executive Director since January 19, 2012.
He serves as the Chairman of the Board Eicher Goodwarth Pvt. Ltd. He served as the Non Executive Chairman of Eicher Motors Ltd. since May 1, 2006. Mr. Sandilya served as the Chairman of the Board for Parrys Sugar Industries Ltd. (Alternate Name: GMR Industries Ltd) from August 27, 2010 to July 22, 2013. He also served as Vice Chairman of Eicher Group since October 1999. He has been an Independent Non Executive Director of Rane Brake Lining Limited since February 6, 2008. Mr. Sandilya has been a Non Executive Director of Tube Investments of India Limited since January 27, 2005. Mr. Sandilya serves as a Director of Eicher Motors Ltd. He serves as a Director of Eicher Ltd., Eicher International Limited, Span Eicher Designs Limited, Eicher Agrotech Limited and of ECS Limited. He serves as Director at Mastek (UK) Ltd. He served as Independent Non Executive Director of Parrys Sugar Industries Ltd since October 26, 2006 until July 22, 2013. He served as a Director of Rane Brake Linings Ltd., since May 26, 2006. He has been a Non Executive & Independent Director of GMR Infrastructure Limited since September 11, 2012. He serves as national Council member of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). He serves as a Director of Indore Management Association and is also an Executive Committee Member of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers and a Governing Council member of the Automobile Research Association of India. He served as Treasurer of All India Management Association for the period 1998-2000 and is a member of its Governing Council. Mr. Sandilya is a Commerce Graduate from Chennai University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in 1969.
