Mr. Saroj Kumar Poddar served as Vice President of Marketing at Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd. Mr. Poddar joined Essar Shipping Ltd. on March 27,1985. He has been Chairman of the Board at Zuari Global Limited since May 15, 1993. He serves as Chairman of Simon India Limited. He serves as the Executive Chairman of Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd, Poddar Heritage Enterprises and Gillette Management Inc. He serves as the Chairman of Poddar Heritage Investments Limited and Adventz Investments and Holdings Limited.

He serves as the Non Executive Chairman at Indian Furniture Products Limited - a joint venture with Seribo of France and Hettich India Private Limited - a joint venture with the Hettich Group of Germany. He serves as the Chairman of board at Chambal Infrastructure Ventures Limited and Zuari Agro Chemicals Limited (also known as Zuari Holdings Limited). Mr. Poddar has been the Chairman of Texmaco Infrastructure & Holdings Limited (also known as Texmaco Ltd.), since September 11, 2008. He has been the Chairman of Zuari Cement Limited since May 15, 1993. He serves as Chairman of Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd.

He serves as Chairman of the Board of Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd. and Zuari Industries Limited. He served as Chairman of Sri Vishnu Cement Limited. He serves as the Vice Chairman of Bengal Foodpark Limited. He served as Chairman of the Board of ALSTOM T&D India Limited until July 27, 2009. He served as the Non-Executive Chairman of Singer India Limited until June 01, 2005. He served as the Non-Executive Chairman of Areva T&D India Limited until July 27, 2009.
