Mr. Anand G. Mahindra, MBA has been the Chairman and Managing Director of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. since August 1, 2012 and April 1997 respectively. Mr. Mahindra serves as a Member of Group Executive Board at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., the Holding Company of Mahindra & Mahindra Co-Operative Credit Society Ltd. and Mahindra Renault Private Limited.

He joined Mahindra Ugine Steel Company Limited (MUSCO) in 1981, as an Executive Assistant to the Finance Director and also served as the President and Deputy Managing Director since 1989. During his stint at MUSCO, he initiated the Mahindra Group’s diversification into the new business areas of real estate development and hospitality management. He served as the Deputy Managing Director of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited in April 1991.

During his tenure in Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, he has spearheaded a series of comprehensive change programs in Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. He was a Co-Promoter of Kotak Mahindra Finance Ltd., in 2003. He served as the President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (Western Region) from 2003 to 2004 and the Automotive Research Association of India. He is a Co-Founder of the Harvard Business School Association of India. He founded the Mumbai Festival in January 2005 and serves as its Chairman.

He serves as a Non-Executive Chairman of Tech Mahindra Limited. He has been the Chairman of Mahindra Ugine Steel Company Limited since October 29, 2013. He serves as the Chairman of Mahindra First Choice Wheels Ltd., Mahindra Navistar Automotive Limited and Mahindra Two Wheelers Limited. He serves as Co-Chairman of the International Council of the Asia Society, New York. He serves as the Chairman of Tech Mahindra Limited, Defense Land Systems India Ltd, Mahindra International Limited, MBT International Inc., Mahindra British Telecom Limited, Mahindra Consulting Limited, Mahindra Intertrade Limited, Mahindra Realty and Infrastructure Developers Limited, Mahindra Sintered Products Limited, Mahindra Sona Limited.
