Born on 12th July, 1965, he graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and then completed his post graduation in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He started his career with Asian Paints Limited & prior to joining Berger was associated with L'oreal. He was appointed as the Managing Director with effect from 1st July, 2012.Mr. Abhijit Roy has been the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Berger Paints India Limited since July 1, 2012. Mr. Roy served as the Chief Operating Officer of Berger Paints India Ltd., from February 11, 2011 to July 1, 2012. He has over 19 years of experience in the paint industry. He was heading the Marketing function of Berger Paints as Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing. He has been a Director of Berger Paints India Limited since February 11, 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
