Mr. Neeraj Mittal, IAS serves as a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Mr. Mittal is an IAS Officer from Tamil Nadu Cadre (1992). During his IAS career spanning over two decades, he has served in various departments/officesof the state and the centre including Land & Revenue, Mines and Minerals, Transport, Telecommunication, Commerce. He has been a Non Executive Director of Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd. since April 11, 2013. He served as a Part Time Director of GAIL (India) Limited from February 28, 2012 to April 10, 2013. He served as Director at GAIL Gas Limited. He is an electrical engineering graduate from IIT, Kanpur, holds an MBA degree from Cranfield University, UK and is a PhD (MIS) from Ohio State University, USA.
