Mr. Madhav Acharya

Mr. Madhav Acharya leads the Global Finance Function at Crompton Greaves which includes Accounts, Treasury, Business Intelligence, MIS, M&A, IT and Admin. Mr. Acharya has been part of Avantha Group for the past 12 years where he has held many senior management positions.

Current Responsibilities

He has been instrumental in various successful structuring initiatives and overseas acquisitions for CG as well as for the Avantha Group.

Mr Acharya has International experience of over 25 years with variety of leadership role to effectively manage Finance and IT function of global companies with expertise gained over the years in various strategic functions like Restructuring of Group Business (Mergers & De-mergers of Business Units), Hive Offs, Strategic Financial Planning, Development and Implementation of Business Process and Control Mechanisms, Structuring of Various Agreements, Syndication of Private Equity and Loans, Financial System Automation. 

Rich Experience.

Prior to joining CG, he was Chief Financial Officer of Paper Business of Sabah Forest Industries, Malaysia based out of Singapore. His diverse and rich experience includes sizable stints at various Senior positions in Ballarpur Industries, Solaris Chemtech (Avantha Group), Ambalal Sarabhai.

Awards Achievements and Memberships:

Mr Acharya has many Honors and Awards to his name. Amongst the prominent ones are.

Mr. Acharya was honored with CFO Award 2010 for "Best Performing CFO in the Capital Goods Sector" by CNBC TV18

Mr Acharya got the CFO100 Role of Honor for "Winning Edge in Raising Capital / Capital Restructuring" by CFO India in 2011.

Mr. Acharya got the CFO100 Role of Honor in 2013 again.

He is an associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountant of India and Graduate Member of Institute of Cost & Works Accountant of India.

Mr Acharya is a gold medalist in Commerce.
