Mr. Vinod Sawhny

Mr. Vinod Sawhny, BE (Mech), PGDBM has been the Chief Executive Officer of Reliance Communications Ltd., since February 2014 and serves as its President. Prior to joining Reliance Communications, Mr. Sawhny worked with the Bharti Group for more than 10 years in various roles, including Member of the Bharti Airtel Management Board; Joint President, Airtel Enterprises; Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, Airtel Mobility; and President, Bharti Retail. Mr. Sawhny has 31 years of well-rounded experience in establishing and building diverse businesses, including telecommunications, retail and consumer durables. Mr. Sawhny had also worked as Chief Executive Officer of Beetel Teletech Ltd., Managing Director of Spice Communications, and held a senior leadership role in Godrej GE Appliances. Mr. Sawhny served as a Whole-Time Director at Beetel Teletech Ltd. from September 1, 2010 to April 30, 2012. Mr. Sawhny holds an MBA degree from XLRI, Jamshedpur and a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
