Shri Naveen Kumar, an Electrical Engineer, MBA (Finance) and LL.B.has got diversified experience of more than 37 years’ experience working in power sector majors like BHEL, NTPC and Power Finance Corporation Ltd (PFC). Prior to joining PFS in Sep 2017 as Director (Operations & COO), he was working as an Executive Director (Projects) in PFC, where the responsibilities discharged by him at various positions included formulation of bankable project proposals/DPRs, Techno-commercial appraisal and loan sanction for more than 400 infrastructure projects, project financing/consortium lending to private power projects, setting up of UMPPs. He also worked in BHEL and NTPC before joining PFC and acquired rich field experience for erection/construction of 110 MW, 500 MW maintenance/troubleshooting of thermal projects ranging from 30 MW to 500 MW & various hydroelectric power plants. As the Chairman of Loan Proposals Screening Committee for IPP projects in PFC, he handled power projects with installed capacity of about 107,000 MW (estimated cost of more than Rs 6.5 lac crore) in 105 meetings. 

The various categories of projects formulated, appraised, funded and monitored by him included Renewable Energy Projects viz. Solar, Wind, Small hydro, Bio-mass; Thermal coal based from 30 MW to 800 MW; Thermal gas based combined cycle (up to 1500 MW); Hydro-electric projects of various sizes; Transmission (33 KV to 765 KV); Distribution, System up gradation; R&M and Life Extension projects, Ports; etc
